Methodology
How the scorecard works
Each week is a snapshot stored in this site’s data file. A signal is Improving, Flat, or Weakening. Two rows stay Not available until a source exists that this site is allowed to use. The page shows the source and the as-of date beside every figure.
Overall reading
Improving counts as +1, Flat as 0, and Weakening as −1. Not available is left out of the total. The overall reading is Improving at +2 or higher, Weakening at -2 or lower, and Flat in between. A quiet week, or a week with a single strong signal, stays Flat on purpose.
Signals
XRP price and market cap
Improving if the seven-day price change is +5% or more. Weakening if it is −5% or more. Otherwise Flat. Market cap is shown beside the price and is not scored, because sites disagree on how much XRP is in circulation.
Source: Entered by hand each week. CoinGecko’s free API is not used. Its terms do not allow this site to republish that feed automatically.
US spot XRP ETFs
Uses net flow, not the size of the funds. Improving if weekly net flow is +$50 million or more. Weakening if it is −$50 million or more. Otherwise Flat. If a full week is blank and only one day is filled in, that day is judged with the same dollar band. Assets and cumulative inflows are context.
Source: Entered by hand. The baseline cites SoSoValue’s October 29, 2026 print, as quoted by ChainCatcher. There is no keyless feed this site is allowed to copy on its own.
RLUSD supply, and the share on the XRP Ledger
The published source is the XRPL Dashboard, not an average of sources. Compared with the previous week: Improving if the XRP Ledger share rises by 1 percentage point or more, or if total supply rises by 2% or more and the share does not fall. Weakening if the share falls by 1 point or more. Otherwise Flat. The first week is Flat.
Source: XRPL Dashboard, entered by hand (no keyless API). DefiLlama’s free stablecoin API is fetched as a labeled cross-check and is not used in the rating. A direct ledger read of the issuer is stored the same way, because it does not match either published total.
Ripple escrow, and whether unlocked XRP moved toward exchanges
Weakening if XRP left a tracked Ripple wallet toward an exchange. Improving if that month’s unlock was fully locked back into escrow. Flat if the unlocked XRP is still in Ripple’s wallets, if it only moved between those wallets, or if the next unlock is still pending. Not available if a human still needs to judge a balance drop. The weekly script never marks “toward exchanges” by itself.
Source: Ripple’s public account list (ripple.com/.well-known/xrp-ledger.toml) plus the XRPScan API for balances and escrow objects. No scraping.
XRPL amendments, especially the Lending Protocol (XLS-66)
The score follows LendingProtocolV1_1, the current XLS-66 proposal. Improving if support rises by 2 percentage points or more, or the amendment becomes enabled. Weakening if support falls by 2 points or more. Otherwise Flat. The first week is Flat unless it is already enabled. Activation on the ledger still needs more than 80% of trusted validators, held for two weeks. XRPScan publishes the current vote threshold in seats.
Source: XRPScan amendments API. No API key. A single public XRPL node only knows its own vote, so it is not used for the percentage.
On-ledger activity (AMM liquidity)
XRP sitting in automated market maker pools that include XRP. Improving if that total rises by 5% or more from the previous week. Weakening if it falls by 5% or more. Otherwise Flat. The first week is Flat.
Source: XRPScan AMM pools API (free tier, no key). A public node’s ledger_data filter for AMM objects returned no rows in testing, so the total is taken from the API instead of a raw ledger walk.
Institutional custody and collateral
Improving if a new public custody or collateral mandate is recorded. Weakening if one is reduced or cancelled. Flat if nothing material is recorded. Not available if the week was not checked. A charter that merely allows custody is scored under regulatory milestones, not here.
Source: Entered by hand from a primary announcement. No deal-flow API is used.
Regulatory milestones
Improving for a favorable official milestone. Weakening for an adverse official action. Flat if nothing material is recorded. Not available if the week was not checked.
Source: Entered by hand from a primary source, such as a regulator or the company’s own announcement.
Ripple’s share of XRP payment volume
Not scored. Left as Not available until there is a public series this site is allowed to republish.
Source: RWA.xyz is not used. Its free tier does not allow this site to redistribute the data.
Federal Reserve master account
Not scored. Left as Not available until there is a public grant or denial to cite. A national trust-bank charter is not a master account.
Source: No public series. Not inferred from other banking news.
What is not fetched automatically
Price, ETF flows, the XRPL Dashboard RLUSD number, institutional deals, and regulatory items are typed in by hand. CoinGecko and RWA.xyz are not called by the update script. Their free tiers do not allow this site to redistribute the data.
The update script may refresh the DefiLlama cross-check, the XLS-66 vote, AMM totals, and Ripple escrow balances. It opens a pull request. The live site changes only when that pull request is merged. Nothing is published by the script itself.
Corrections
A merged week stays as it was. A later week can say what was wrong. The dashboard pages linked here are often live, so they will drift away from an archived number. That is expected.
